Honest ranges, in Pakistani rupees: a business website with a CMS runs roughly PKR 180,000–650,000; a mobile app with accounts, payments and an admin panel is realistically PKR 1.2M–4.5M for a first release; custom business software starts around PKR 2.5M and scales with the number of user roles rather than the number of screens. On top of the build, budget 15–20% of build cost per year for maintenance, hosting and third-party services — the line most quotes leave out. Almost never efficiency. Usually the cheap quote covers a smaller scope — one platform, no admin panel, no testing, no deployment — and the rest arrives later as change requests at a higher effective rate. Sometimes it excludes QA entirely, which does not remove the bugs, it just moves their discovery to your customers. Compare the exclusions lists rather than the totals, and ask each studio for a breakdown in days per phase.
You do, entirely. The Git repository sits in your organisation's account and you are an admin from the first commit — not on final payment. Intellectual property in all work product is assigned to you. Domain, hosting, cloud, Apple Developer, Google Play and payment gateway accounts are registered in your company's name with credentials you hold. This is not a courtesy; an app published under a vendor's Apple account cannot be moved without their cooperation, and that is how businesses get trapped.

Often, yes — a meaningful share of our work is finishing or rescuing stalled builds. Two things determine whether it is sensible: whether we can read the code and whether we can get access to the infrastructure. Our first step is always an inventory of what exists, what actually runs, and who holds which credentials. That step alone frequently reveals that "80% done" meant "80% of the screens exist and none of them save data". Sometimes our recommendation is to rebuild, and we will say so with the reasoning. By milestone, against something you can inspect — a deployed build, a completed module, a passed test cycle — rather than by calendar date. Up to 30% up front is normal; more than that transfers all the risk to you. Change requests are priced in days and logged, so nothing grows silently, and the day rate for changes is agreed in the contract before you need it.
Every engagement includes a warranty period on delivered scope — typically 30 to 90 days — during which defects are fixed at no cost. After that most clients continue on a small monthly retainer covering dependency and OS updates, monitoring, backups and minor improvements. This matters more than people expect: browser updates break forms, packages reach end of life, and Apple raises its minimum SDK requirement roughly annually. An app left untouched for two years is not stable, it is a project.
Frequently a website is enough, and we will tell you so. Apps make sense when you need push notifications as a core mechanic, offline use, device hardware, or genuinely repeat daily usage. If your product is discovery-led — people find you, browse, and buy or enquire — a fast mobile website reaches everyone with no install friction and costs a fraction as much. Nobody can honestly guarantee a ranking position, and anyone who does is either misunderstanding how search works or hoping you will not check.
